If you’re reading this then it’s time to change your story.
Sometimes it feels sad to close out old chapters of our life but if its close means the opening something new, then don’t we owe it to ourselves to try it out? If you doing something totally and wonderfully different and daring scares you, then you’re doing something right!
Ways to mix it up this season if you’re ready to take a leap (or 10!):
- Join a new virtual club
- Try learning something new online
- Apply for your dream schools, programs, internships.
- Go after those opportunities you would never regret trying.
- Be the heroine/hero in your own life story. What would he or she do?

The bottom line is: life is too short to be filled with regret.
Every good chapter has to end for another to begin. If you’re in a lull, then it may be time for something new! …a new job, new city to live, new place to go, or maybe it’s time to make something that’s been on your list happen!
I’m one of those people that loves to stay by her new decision. I stay loyal to jobs for years or people which is a good thing! BUT it can also mean closing doors on other opportunities on the premise of “what if.” What if we get married/my employer gets upset/it’s not the right choice?
Ask yourself: would you regret not trying? And if the answer is yes, maybe you have to reconsider and give it a go!
TRY that new job, that teaching opportunity abroad, or that new city you’ve always wanted to live in! On all my vacations, I was told not to go. How many memories would I have missed if I listened to the voices that try to talk us out of something seemingly lavish and impractical? Sometimes you have to be your most daring and go for your biggest dreams.

Very inspiring, and thought provoking article. I have been doing the same job for years, it pays well and I love it. But, lately I’ve been thinking I’m missing out. What if I tried something different, or should I travel to do the same job and get to see places? Thx for writing this article.
Hi Connie! I think this all depends on what is causing you to wonder if you’re missing out. Sometimes the idea of missing out can be unconsciously motivated by feelings of unfulfillment. Maybe you love your job, you love the pay, and you love being comfortable…but something in it makes you wonder what’s missing or even if something is missing at all! If you feel like this–that you’re settling or you feel something pulling at you to move in another direction, then I’d highly recommend purposefully looking for new opportunities.
